This emblem belongs to the 67th Fighter Squadron, known as the “Fighting Cocks”, which was been in active service continuously since 1941. The squadron fought in the Pacific flying P-39s, and were credited by Medal of Honor recipient General Vandegrift with saving Guadalcanal. After the war their flew F-51 Mustangs in Korea, and F-105 Thunderchief and F-4 Phantoms in Vietnam. Today the squadron flies the F-15 Eagle.
