85th Fighter Squadron Emblem Short-Sleeve Unisex T-Shirt

This skull was the emblem of the 85th Fighter Squadron during WWII. It symbolized the squadron bringing death from the air, and was initially turned down by the War Department for being “too gruesome”, although it was later approved. The squadron flew P-40s and P-47s, and was notable for their involvement in North Africa and Sicily.
